How we collect, use, protect and delete your personal data.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by International College (ICO), Siam University, an approved centre (No. 3029864) for Qualifications Scotland (formerly SQA). We are located at 38 Petkasem Road, Phasi Charoen, Bangkok 10160, Thailand.

2. What data we collect

When you submit an enquiry form, we collect:

  • Full name — to address your enquiry
  • Email address — to reply to you
  • Phone number (optional) — if you wish to be called back
  • Country (optional) — for statistical purposes only
  • Programme of interest — to route your enquiry correctly
  • Your message — the content of your enquiry
  • Consent record — date, time and version of the consent you gave
  • Hashed IP address — to detect and prevent spam (not used for identification)

We do not collect payment data, identity documents, or cookies beyond those strictly necessary for the contact form to function.

3. How we use your data

We use your data solely to:

  • Respond to your programme enquiry
  • Send you an automatic acknowledgement of receipt (if enabled)
  • Keep an internal record for follow-up and quality purposes

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Legal basis (PDPA)

We process your data under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA). The legal basis for processing enquiry data is your explicit consent, which you provide by ticking the consent checkbox on the enquiry form.

5. Security & encryption

All personal data fields (name, email, phone, message) are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. Data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS). Only authorised staff members with verified Siam University accounts can access decrypted data in the admin system.

6. Retention period

We retain enquiry records for 24 months from the date of submission. After that period, records are automatically deleted. You may also request earlier deletion at any time (see section 8).

7. Cookies

This website uses a session cookie strictly necessary to display the enquiry form securely (CSRF protection). No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies are set by default. If Google Analytics or Tag Manager is enabled in future, this policy will be updated.

8. Your rights

Under the PDPA you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request that we delete your data (right to be forgotten)
  • Restriction — request that we restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior processing

To exercise any of these rights, email us at qualifications.scotland@siam.edu with the subject line "PDPA Data Request". We will respond within 30 days.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
